🌲 NWIOI Presents: A One-of-a-Kind Outdoor SAR Retreat 🌲 August 8–10, 2025 | Near Gig Harbor, WA We’re thrilled to share a new kind of offering from NWIOI—a unique, in-person Sexual Attitude Reassessment (SAR) experience set in the beauty of the Pacific Northwest. What is a SAR? A Sexual Attitude Reassessment (SAR) is a transformative educational experience that helps sexuality professionals explore and reflect on their personal beliefs, biases, and emotional responses related to sex and intimacy. SARs are required for AASECT certification and offer profound opportunities for growth, connection, and insight. What makes ours different? We’re taking SAR off Zoom and into the woods. Join us for a camp-style, weekend-long SAR filled with nature, intentional dialogue, reflection, and community. Hosted on the private, wooded property of Dr. Britt Milliard-Hastings near Gig Harbor, WA, this is SAR… the NWIOI way. 🗓 Dates: August 8 (4:00 PM) – August 10 (11:00 AM) 💰 Cost: $730 (includes all meals & materials; $350 deposit due at registration). 2 month payment plan of $190 📍 Location: Private retreat land near Gig Harbor, WA ✈️ Travel: Fly into Seattle, take a Shuttle to Gig Harbor, and we’ll help with gear & rides from the shuttle to the site. [We can work together to determine camping gear needs for each individual] This SAR includes: A full AASECT-compliant SAR curriculum, led by NWIOI faculty & guest facilitators Large and small group dialogue, media exploration, and personal processing Grounding time in nature, campfire reflections, and forest-based rest Communal meals and the spirit of shared space A camping experience—tents, camp showers, and of course a bathroom. We know most SARs are virtual—this is our invitation to reconnect, slow down, and deepen your practice in person.
